We all have heard the story of Harry Potter and his friends at the lovely Hogwarts, but the one thing that they never seemed to show is werewolves, vampires or other creatures attending this school. That is because they attended Red River School of magical creatures, witches and wizards. Yes the founders did know that is it a long name so they shortened it to Red River. Red River is built in the Rocky Mountains located in the United States of America. It was founded, like Hogwarts, by four people. Now these weren’t just any people. Each was a different breed and each had their own personality. Hogwarts had started about three years ago and this group of “FRIENDS” was meeting up with one of their friends that attended Hogwarts. Now if you haven’t figured out that this friend was human I may have to smack you, but indeed he was. Randal Yanor was his name. It was his second year at Hogwarts and he was on his Christmas break. Being friends with a werewolf, vampire, and shape shifter, who weren’t allowed to attend the school, this was the time he could see them. They greeted each other with smiles under the heat of the sun all happy to see the other’s face. This group of characters is much like the group that founded Hogwarts. These four friends where walking up a mountain side and came to a large hill of green. There they frolicked and camped out for the night. That was the night the idea came to their heads like flies to poo. It started with just one sentence “I wish you all could come to Hogwarts to learn about yourselves and to be there with me.” Yanor was the one who said this. Garlin tossed the idea of making a school for creatures out like a coin onto the counter. Each looked up at him with eyes that smiled from socket to socket. That night they began to draw out their plan. 6 years later when Yanor had finished his schooling at Hogwarts he came back to the hill to find a large grey stone building staring down at him. His friends came over to his and patted him on the back asking what they should name it. Yanor looked to the rocks and found a red rock like stream and he said “Red River.” It is now the year 2100 and it is a new year at Red River. Many students are coming back and new students are arriving. It is many years after Harry potter walked the earth so please no descendents from him or any other character from his time. We welcome you to a new year at Red River and hope that you enjoy yourselves.
